Silica rock excavated from Kanuma Mine is crushed and processed so that particles are no more than 30 mm in size. This product is sold as a siliceous material for autoclaved lightweight (aerated) concrete (ALC).

Our product is popular with customers because this high-grade, crystallized silica rock has high reactivity with quicklime, aluminum powder (gas-forming agent), and other materials. This product also helps ensure the final product can be made to specific colors.

Silica rock excavated from the Takizawa Mine is crushed and processed into two different variations. One variation has a grain size of 0 to 30 mm, which is used in cement. The other variation has a grain size of 10 to 30 mm, which is used in iron and steel. The SiO₂ content is 90% minimum for the cement variation and 93% minimum for the iron and steel variation.
